We have an exciting week scheduled for May 13-16, 2024.

Change of Venue:  We have loved doing our recital at the Cooper House for the last 15 years or so. However, they have stopped renting to the public. We have been searching for several months and found a forum that is beautiful and may fit us nicely. It is the Valley Event Center, at 22335 US-72 A, Athens, AL 35613.

We are going to use this forum for important events to run that week.

Denie’s 60th Teaching Anniversary:  This year Mrs. Denie Riggs is celebrating her 60th anniversary of teaching piano. She cannot think of any way to celebrate more than having an exciting time with you, our amazing students. So every Spring Event will include door prizes and other celebratory items! As part of honoring her, we are inviting parents and older students to Share a Story or Share a Memory at your Spring Recital. Get all the information at this link. 

Schedule for Spring Recital Week

Please Read All

Our Early Childhood Music Department, Remote Zoom Students, and in-person students will be in live performances this week.

Here is our schedule overview for that week:  (All times offered are Central Time)

• Monday, May 13, 2024 6 p.m. (Central time)  Zoom Recital for our Remote Students. The Zoom Code will be sent to all signed up for this event.
• Tuesday, May 14th, 2024, 5:15 p.m. and 6:45 p.m. In-person Solo Recital at the Valley Event Center, Athens
• Wednesday, May 15, 2024- 5:30 p.m. – In-person Recital for Early Childhood Music (Babies – 4 years) and their older siblings. – Signup not necessary except for older siblings.
• Thursday, May 16, 2024 – 5:15 p.m. and 6:45 p.m. in-person Solo Recitals at the Valley Event Center, Athens
  

Recital Specifics: Please Read All

• It’s Recital Week. Recitals will replace your lessons that week. Online Learning Courses are still available during this week.
• No Zoom Broadcasting at in-person events: Due to past technical issues beyond our control, in-person recitals will NOT be broadcast through Zoom.
• Doors Open approximately 20 minutes before each event.
• Open to the Public: You may invite as many guests as you’d like to attend.
• Come and Stay: Each recital will last approximately one hour, and we ask that you and your guests remain for the full event, so that every performer has a strong audience.
• Admission is $5 per person, to benefit the Zoe Life Center, our ministry center for individuals with special needs.
• Attire: Recitals are Sunday clothes dress up! No shorts, or blue jeans please.
• Event Fee: All event fees will be charged out on or around April 15th. 
  • Our Event Fee Policy: Our event fees vary by events, based on our costs. All registered students share in this cost by paying an event fee. Exempt are special needs students who’s disabilities don’t permit their participation, and adult students, who may opt-out of performing.
  • Local Students: Student event fees for the Spring Recital is $50.
  • Remote Students: For our students who live outside the N. Alabama area, your event fee will be $35. Note: local students who, due to scheduling or other reason, desire to do the Zoom Recital instead of the in-person, your event fee will still be $50.
