The piano is the number one instrument for brain function enhancement.  That’s right.  When a child plays the piano and sings, every part of their brain “lights up!”  That enhancement changes the way their brain wires creating enhanced reasoning skills, enriched academics especially in the areas of math, reading and science.  This enhancement is not temporary; it lasts for the rest of their life! Accountability Structure by Semester Commitment

We have been offering our popular Kids N Keys piano lessons for 30+years. Post-covid, our classes have different structures that really work for our modern-busy schedules. These are called Accountability Classes!

In our Accountability Classes, different levels of Kids N Keys study can attend the same lesson time. All of our program is Partner-attended, meaning that the parent learns right along with your child!

Here are some benefits and specifics of the Accountability Structures! 

• Students no longer have to remain on the same lesson plan. Think One-Room School House! With our amazing OnDemand lessons, students are able to study at their own level and pace online at home, without stress to maintain the same progress as their classmates. On the other hand, students may move faster than other classmates. Just this one feature, is amazing for families with more than one child.
• The teacher, then meets with the families together weekly, for fun, informative teaching time, theory games with friends, singing, ear training and more…  that enable all students to excel and enjoy piano class.
• Seven levels of Kids N Keys curriculum takes the learner into five different keys at the piano, transposing, composing original songs, performing on stage in class weekly. We also study the recorder and the guitar/baritone ukulele. We have divided the structures and features of the teaching times to meet the needs of their study.
• The structure is by semester commitment.
  • Winter/Spring Semester- January – May
  • Summer Semester- June- August
  • Fall/Christmas Semester- September- December

• Different Class Times offer Specific Levels:
  • • Pre and Level 1 Ages 4.5 years – 8 years
      • Pre Class- Pre KNK curriculum is prerequisite for students under age 6 years>
    • Levels 1-2 –
      • This class is for Pre and Level 1 students who have already begun the KNK study.  Contact Mrs. Riggs for questions, as we sometimes makes exceptions.
    • Levels 2-3- Includes piano and recorder
      • This class studies the bass clef and begin grand staff, recorder and G position study.
    • Levels 4-6 –  Includes piano, recorder and guitar-
      • Level 4: This class builds on concepts studied in levels 1-3. We build on the G position and begin sto study the recorder and transposing is introduced in this level.
      • Level 5: This curriculum changes from solfege system to the alphabet system.  F position is introduced and more transposing, finger movement begins. We begin the string study on the baritone uke or 1/2 size guitar
      • Level 6 we move into more movement at the keyboard, continuing the guitar and recorder.
  • New Student Application Fee:  If you are new to our Kids N Keys program or are a returning student, our Application Fee is $45 and due up front to hold your space. It is not refundable as others may be turned away.

Semester Tuition:  Kids N Keys piano program is a semester commitment.

• Pre Level: The monthly tuition for Pre is $79
• Levels 1 and 2 Tuition: $85 month
• Levels 3-4 (for piano and recorder) Monthly tuition is $87
• Levels 4-7 The monthly tuition is $92 when class includes the guitar, recorder and piano.
• Monthly draft required, or a one time payment may be made before the start of the semester, if preferred.
