Early Childhood Music (EMC)

Early Childhood Music is a department of Perfect Praise, Inc. that began in 1996. This department was formed based on the amazing benefits of piano study for young children.

• Babies under 36 months- Tots N Time Class
• 3-4 Year Olds- Music N Motion Class
• 4.5 – 8 (12) years- Kids N Keys Class

Incredibly, all our Early Childhood Music  classes include the piano. The piano is the activity of choice
beyond any activity your preschooler can be involved in, changing your child’s cognitive development early while their brain is actively wiring.

Yes! We call you a Partner. A Partner is a parent, guardian, nanny, or babysitter that attends lessons with the student every lesson. For the Kids N Keys Class, we recommend that the partner who attends in the classroom also be the same person who
practices with the student at home.

Only one participating Partner may attend lessons with the student, as more than that
may result in overcrowding. Occasionally, an additional partner may attend the lesson to
just watch (not participate).

We have a no-sibling guideline for many reasons. The only exception is a baby in a carrier. The baby is welcome to attend another sibling’s lesson if they remain in a carrier. If the baby were to cry, distracting the class, we ask that you step out of the lesson with your baby, leaving your other student unattended. It might be best to get a babysitter at home or in the waiting room.

For over 20 years, we met monthly with our newly enrolled families. Post-COVID, we meet on Zoom Orientation, or provide a recorded Zoom orientation for you to view before you can start our program. This is vital to the success of your child.

The weekly length of class varies by age and size of the class.

•  Tots N Time: 25 minutes
• Music N Motion: 40 minutes
• Kids N Keys: 45 minutes

Our structure includes three yearly semesters.

•  Fall/Winter: September- December
• Spring: January- May
• Summer: June- August

Yes, if there is availability in the session. Sometimes the sessions are fully booked when they start, occasionally there is availability. Try to book your favorite time, and see if it permits you to enroll or places you on a waitlist. You will then be contacted when a space opens up in your desired class.

You have a few options.
1. Join the class on Zoom. By being a registered student, even on Zoom, you will get first dibs on the class enrollment when the next Open Enrollment time opens up, one month before start of new semester.
2. Another option is to enroll in another in-studio time, attend lessons you can and transfer over at the end of the semester. Again, by being an enrolled student you will get the first opportunity to enroll first before the waitlist is contacted.
3. You could enroll for the OnDemand Course and enjoy music class at home only! Very economical, fun, and has the same content, teachers and more.

Since our sessions run concurrently, we have a specific date for enrollment to be open for the next session, called Open Enrollment Date. This date is usually 1 month prior to the start date of the session.  EVERYONE MUST RESUBMIT ENROLLMENT FOR EACH SESSION. Failure to do so may mean you will have lost your space in the new session.

Teacher-driven in-studio students will receive materials the first lesson of each semester. Virtual students have downloadable/printable materials available on their OnDemand Course. Kids N Keys remote students are asked to maintain hard copy materials for their lessons. We will ship these to you.

Good question. Sometimes a family desires to take a summer off, or sit out a session due to pregnancy.

Our Early Childhood Music session run concurrently. Towards the end of each session, you will be given opportunity to re-enlist for the next session, saving your space and maintaining the progress of your child’s musical education. The re-application paperwork will be handled from our Office. A $15 recurring application fee will be charged when you process your recurring application. 

If you decide to not continue into the next session for any reason, your space will be given to another and you may have to join the waitlist to get back into that class time. You will also have to pay the full Application Fee when you re-enroll. Notify the office when the re-application process occurs to help us move forward with opening space for new enrollees.

A Payment Security Form is an office form that gathers your information to set up your financial account with Perfect Praise, Inc. Depending on your booking type, it will be
emailed from our office. It’s safe to trust this process.

You have 2 payment options:

 Monthly Auto Credit/Debit Card: Provide us with a Visa, MasterCard, Discover, AMX, debit or credit card for your account to run monthly, on the 1st day of each month. If your payment is declined for some reason, we will notify you, giving you until the 8th of the month to get your account current again to avoid Credit Card Declined
Fee of $15.
  Monthly Bank Draft: Our second method of payment involves setting up an automatic bank draft to your checking or savings account to run the 1st of each month. If your bank draft is declined we will assess a Declined Fee of $15 immediately and run your balance due on a credit or debit card required for this option.
