                         Overview

Playing the piano enhances brain-function enriching academics, specifically, math, reading and science. It lends towards higher testing scores, ACT, SAT scores, college entrance exam scores and gives greater incidence of scholarships.

So what better place to study the piano than at school?

Perfect Praise Music has been partnering with VFCA since 2005 and have enjoyed every minute of working with VFCA families with our piano-based music programs. Amidst all the unusual circumstances of Covid-19, your child can still take beneficial piano lessons, from the safest places on the planet … their school and your home.

This is how it will work!  At VFCA, a Perfect Praise Weekly Piano Video Lesson will be shown to every student in the Elementary Building (K5-3rd grade).  This Weekly Piano Video Lesson, while a great start, will not provide everything that your child needs to learn to play the piano. 

To excel, your Learner will need:

1. To practice 5-8 minutes daily at a keyboard or piano (don’t panic, we have affordable ideas)

2. Complete worksheets

3. Study flashcards

To have a successful experience, and gain all the benefits of what is provided for you at VFCA, we need YOU to be involved. So we have developed a Parent Support Club called Parents Encouraging Practice, Proficiency and Performance. (PEPPP Club)

We have structured four different levels of engagement, providing options that fit your schedule and budget from FREE to just a few dollars per week.

Option #1: Access to the Weekly Piano Video Lesson

Weekly Piano Video Lesson Series with PEPPP Club~ Option #1: FREE* 

  • Weekly Piano Video Lesson: You gain immediate access to the same Weekly Piano Video Lesson Series as shown in the classroom. This weekly series normally retails for $59 month, yet is FREE when you sign up with PEPPP Club.
  • Kids N Keys Game Course: This Game Course tracks with the Weekly Piano Video Lesson Series and is included as a Booking Bonus. A $49 value, yet FREE
  • PEPPP Club Zoom Meetings: Mrs. Denie Riggs, our Administrator, will meet with interested parents for scheduled PEPPP Club Zoom  Meetings, enabling you to better support your Learner this year, ensuring progress and receiving the amazing benefits of playing the piano.

Option #2: Daily Online Learning Piano Course for Kids

Perfect Praise Music has developed an amazing Daily HomePlay Online Learning Piano Course for Kids. Plus you gain a full year of Level-specific Study and Curriculum Swap!

SAMPLE LESSON

  • Online Learning Piano Course: This program’s structures enable daily activities laid out step-by-step for your Learner.  It contains 80 lessons each semester; age-appropriate lessons that are engaging, fun and informative. See the Sample Lesson.
  • Study and Curriculum Swap Program: At VFCA, each year we study Level 1 Kids N Keys curriculum in the Fall and Level 2 Kids N Keys curriculum in the Spring. If your child is a returning student and has already mastered the study material for that semester, with Option #2, we will customize a Study and Curriculum Swap for their appropriate level of study.
  • With Option #2, we will swap new materials received through the school for the appropriate level of study, AND turn on the Online Learning Course for your student’s level of study.
  • Note: The curriculum must be swapped out while still new, and not returned from previous year’s study. If you don’t have new materials to swap, you may use the downloadable/printable curriculum included with your next level of study, or purchase your current level curriculum through Perfect Praise Music. This program is available only through Perfect Praise Music (Not available through VFCA).
  • Plus! You will also receive all the structures of Option #1 and the PEPPP Club:
    • Weekly Piano Video Lesson Series for your Learner’s level of study 
    • Weekly Piano Video Lessons Series for the study at the school, to keep your Learner informed for games etc. in class

 Three Piano Proficiency Programs

We have found that Accountability and Proficiency are important aspects for a successful online learning course of any kind. So we include both of those structures with our two Proficiency Program options.

When you sign up for a Proficiency Program, our Piano Teachers will interact with you weekly for your child’s proficiency at the piano. We also offer rewards, goal-setting and performance guidance creating a wonderful, excelling musician. How we interact is the difference in the two Proficiency Program options. You may choose to upload your Learner’s HomePlay assignments via our Upload Portal, or enroll them for an Accountability Lesson at the school.

Option #3: Proficiency Via the Upload Portal 

$59 month*

  • Structures: All the structures and features of Option #2 is included with this option including the Online Learning Piano Course, the Study and Curriculum Swap, the Game Courses and the Zoom PEPPP Meetings.
  • Proficiency via Upload Portal: With Option #3, the parents upload assignments (called HomePlay), by taking mini videos and pics, and submit them to our Upload Portal on our website. The process is easy and we will show you how to do it.
  • Teacher Interaction: Our Piano Teachers will communicate with you step-by-step, via texts and emails, informing you as to what to submit, giving remarks and tips about your Learner’s progress, ensuring they are excelling, step-by-step.
  • Semester Recitals: We will work with your student to prepare for stage presence for Christmas and Spring recitals (when applicable), including providing fresh, downloadable/printable music copies when appropriate.
  • Achievement Awards: With Option #3, we support your student through every step of every lesson. We track your child’s practice and proficiency for each activity, every week. Because we can track proficiency and achievements, we are able to honor their efforts with year-end rewards, medals, and trophies.
  • Recurring Tuition: $59 monthly tuition* commitment, running the full school year.

Option #4: Proficiency Via Accountability Class

$65 month*

  • Proficiency in an Accountability Class: With Option#4, you receive all the same amazing structures as above, but your child will attend an Accountability Class after school at VFCA, instead of presenting HomePlay via the Upload Portal.
  • In-person Accountability Classes: Due to Covid-19, the lessons will be Come N Go structures. Students will perform HomePlay songs marked as SOLO, show HomePlay Practice Charts, Worksheets, etc. Limited class size. First come-first serve for availability and for scheduling options.
  • Accountability Lesson will be set on Mondays from 3:15 to 4:00 p.m. or as needed to cover enrollment.
  • Teacher Interaction: Your Teacher engages with parents on your child’s HomePlay notebook regarding their assignment, critiquing any areas that your student needs more practice.
  • Recitals: We will work with your student to prepare for stage presence for Christmas/Spring Recitals (when applicable), including providing fresh, downloadable/printable music copies when appropriate.
  • Achievement Awards: With Option #4, we support your student through every step of every lesson. We track your child’s practice and proficiency for each activity, every week. And because we can track their proficiency and achievements, we are able to honor their efforts with year-end rewards, medals, and trophies.
  • Note: All the structures and features of Option #2 are included with this Proficiency Program, including the Study and Curriculum Swap, the Game Courses, and the Zoom Meetings.

Option #5: Private Piano and Guitar Instruction

$100 Month

Private Music Instruction: $100 Month Recurring

  • Traditional and Non-traditional Private Instruction: Perfect Praise Music offers piano and guitar instruction after school  VFCA Elementary Campus, also virtually with Zoom and Face Time.
  • Customized Lessons: These are private, individualized lessons, permitting a student to study any level of piano or guitar study
  • All Inclusive: All the structures and programs from other options are included in private lessons, if level and age appropriate
  • Private Lesson Schedule: Private lessons will be offered on Mondays after school. Specific schedule to be set by first-come first-serve, based on enrollment. 
  • All Levels of Study May Apply: Piano and guitar
  • Curriculum Swap is available for Grades K-5- 3rd (two levels per school year, when applicable)
  • Tuition: Requires $100 month recurring tuition, with a semester commitment, running a full year (Withdrawal option end of December)

Worship Club

Perfect Praise Music and VFCA is all about worship. We believe that worship is the number one reason we are on this earth. Mr. Michael Riggs will be teaching our Worship Club Meetings on Thursday afternoons, after school. You will want your child to be apart of this hands-on, life-changing study and application of worship from the Bible.

Here are the specifics:

  • Grades: 1st-3rd Grades
  • 40 minute lesson weekly
  • Worship Club Schedule: Set for Thursdays 3:00- 3:40 p.m. in the Elementary Building.
  • Materials:  No material fee at this time
  • Tuition: $25 month with semester commitment
