Day 3 HomePlay
When you play the piano you will be moving around by using finger numbers. We begin learning about them today.
Mrs. Denie teaches us about how to tap a quarter note and a quarter rest. Get your rhythm sticks and be ready to join her.
Let's learn about Ear Training with Mr. Michael and JoAnn.
Now let's do it with Pedro and Suzie. Listen to Mrs. Denie play and sing, then YOU sing back with Pedro and Suzie. Singing this song teaches your EARS to be smart!
Time for a "sit check!" Have your Partner take a picture of how you are sitting at the piano today. Compare it with this picture and see how you can improve.
Are your fingers curved like hers? Remember Alligator Sam.
Let's sing it:
Alligator Sam Sound Track
Watch Mrs. Denie play and sing our featured song, This Little Light of Mine, page 25.
Now it's your turn. Play and sing This Little Light of Mine three times at your keyboard. Sing solfege and say your rests out loud! Your Partner will track for you!
JoAnn is set to do Worksheet 11 with you. Get your pencil and she will tell you more.
Sing My Finger Song while you draw, to make it even more fun! Write the finger numbers onto your page starting with your thumb. "My thumb is number one..."
When it's ready, send it to your teacher to hear "Good Job!"
JoAnn teaches us about the flashcard for the Quarter Note.
Mrs. Denie tells us about how to get ready to draw on the whiteboard.
Mr. Michael is at the whiteboard and teaches us how to draw Mama Do.
Let's play a game. Music class is fun to do and games make it more fun!
Important: Be sure to “Mark Complete” when requested.
